I wrote this short story after the Orlando Pulse nightclub massacre back in 2016. Unfortunately, another senseless tragedy has occurred in Colorado Springs and my heart goes out to all the innocent victims who were caught in the cross fire. I'd like to offer this story as a reminder that tomorrow is never guaranteed. Free for a week.
