Saturday Snippet
A Noble Cause, book 2 in the Legacy Series releases on August 26. It is not a standalone and would be better enjoyed after reading A Tangled Legacy.
Blurb
Having achieved his heart’s desire at a high price, Prince Colin of Sendorra and his fiancĂ©, Nobel Prize winner Alain de Gris, find themselves at the epicenter of a twisted plot. Colin’s cousin, Drake Bradford, and his grandmother Maura, the high priestess of the Bradford Coven, have conspired for years to bring down the royal family.
Resembling his cousin in features and coloring, Drake, the soulless rat, has been using their similarities—and black magic—to his advantage. Princess Charlotte, Colin’s ex-girlfriend, is unwittingly drawn into the feud, blissfully unaware she’s been sleeping with an impostor.
In this anticipated sequel to A Tangled Legacy, Colin and Alain, along with their fearless group of witches, ghosts, and familiars, embark on a convoluted journey to save the people they love and ensure the royal succession.

Isabelle was punctual, and she looked like a fashionable ninja in her black track suit, athletic shoes, and gloves. Her hair was pulled back into a low chignon and held in place by a thick, black headband, which also protected her ears. Bibi quivered on her shoulder, and although Isabelle was paler than usual, he couldn’t sense any fear. Her grasp was firm when she reached for his hand and instructed him to think of Charlie.
Colin obeyed without a word and the hotel room faded away. Frigid winds buffeted his face, and he sucked in a sharp breath, surprised they were underway with no warning. Flying through space was as exhilarating as zip-lining, but as mind-numbingly frightening as bungee jumping, an extreme sport he and Alain had attempted when they were vacationing in the Seychelles. He took his eyes off Isabelle and made the mistake of looking down. His stomach heaved at the sight of city lights blinking in the distance, and he felt a rising sense of panic as realization hit. The only thing keeping him from certain death was Isabelle’s strong grip.
“Eyes on me,” she ordered, picking up on his growing agitation.
Colin’s gaze veered upward, and he didn’t take his eyes off Isabelle as they sped across the sky like a comet. One day, he would look back on the unique experience and marvel, but right then, he hoped she wouldn’t drop him.
Their landing wasn’t quite as smooth as the takeoff, and Colin found himself at the bottom of the pile with Isabelle and Bibi sprawled on his back. They were inside a linen closet, and he burst into nervous giggles while Andrew looked on in concern.
Are you okay?
“I will be as soon as you guys get off my back.”
