Cover Reveal!

I'd like to present the gorgeous cover created by Natasha Snow for my upcoming release Through My Own Lens, book 5 in the Horizons Series. This is a direct sequel to Chyna Doll but can be read as a standalone.

Blurb:

Loving you is the easy part. It's the letting go that needs work.

Luca Dilorio begins his freshman year at Cornell, while his boyfriend, Chyna Davidson, embarks on a modeling career based out of Manhattan, New York. Although Luca is only a five-hour drive away, he may as well be on another planet. Having watched Chyna’s back for years, Luca struggles with the separation. His new roommate, Zeb Araneda, lends an ear, and a solid friendship is born, but it doesn’t keep Luca from worrying.

Chyna learns to navigate the ups and downs of the modeling industry on his own. However, this proves difficult with Luca micromanaging everything, from Chyna’s diet to his choice in a roommate. After rejecting several candidates, Chyna and Luca decide on fellow model, Alex Boulet, who turns out to be perfect in more ways than one.

An unexpected appearance raises a multitude of concerns, and the entire family—Lil, Grier, Clark, Jody, and Chip—descend upon the young couple to offer their help. Will Luca and Chyna weather the storm or succumb to pressure from multiple fronts?

Author's Note from the inside flap.

Six-year-old Luca Dilorio made his first appearance in my novel Taste in 2011. Since then, he’s become a beloved character in the Horizons Series. In my novel Chyna Doll, fifteen-year-old Luca struggles with his orientation and his growing feelings for Chyna Davidson, a complex character who has faced and overcome many challenges, having been born intersex to a family in denial.

Through My Own Lens is a coming-of-age novel, part two of Luca and Chyna’s journey. Deeply in love, the high school graduates head for the East Coast. Chyna embarks on his modeling career in Manhattan while Luca enrolls at Cornell in Ithaca, New York. Learning how to function as separate entities after being a unit for years presents obstacles neither one anticipates. Roommates Zeb Araneda and Alex Boulet, new additions to the series, help the struggling couple figure it out.

I’ve been warned that family dramas aren’t a thing in the m/m genre. Supposedly, most readers won’t take the time to catch up on a long-standing series , but I believe a properly constructed story will include enough history to make it shine as a standalone. I’m hoping this is the case with Through My Own Lens. You can enjoy the next chapter of Luca and Chyna’s story without reading the previous books—unless you want to.
