Hop Against Homophobia

I didn't sign up for the blog hop, which I regret, so I have nothing prepared. My only excuse is that I'm about to go out of town for three weeks and have been working on my up-coming blog tour for Enforcing Emory as well as other edits for future releases.

I'd like to show my support for this wonderful cause by donating one e-copy of my latest release Chyna Doll. This novel features an intersex character who is dealing with a whole slew of issues including parental abuse, bullying, and gender dysphoria. Ultimately, Chyna finds the support he desperately needs through a loving network of friends and new acquaintances. This is my small contribution to a very huge cause---writing positive, informative stories about characters who could never survive without love and understanding.

Leave a comment and one winner will be drawn on 5/22 which is my last day in town for a while. I'll need your e-mail info that you use for your Dreamspinner account to load your bookshelf.

  2. It's my pleasure. I'm sorry I ran out of time to prepare something longer. To my mind there's no better way of supporting the cause then writing an entire novel:)

  3. Hi Mickie - Taste was my very first mantie read and not the last by a long shot and I remember it fondly. I hadn't hear about Chyna Doll and it sounds so interesting that I definitely want to read whether I win or not. Thank you! leilanibooks@gmail.com

  5. It's so nice of you to participate, no matter that it was "unplanned". More support is always acceptable!

  6. I wish I had prepared something longer but I think Chyna Doll qualifies for a tangible show of support.

    1. It definitely does!! I'm sorry, I didn't realize how my second sentence could sound. I didn't mean you needed to do anything else to show support. What I meant by the "more" was that even though your post/giveaway was "unofficial", that nobody is gonna complain about it, if that makes sense. A bonus kind of. Again, sorry if it sounded bad.

  8. This book intrigues me so much! It's so hard to find intersexism in fiction today, so I'm glad to see good authors putting the effort in.

  9. I spent a lot of time doing research before I started writing this story, and the one thing that struck me was the huge sense of shame people like Chyna face every day. It needs to end.

    Thanks for stopping by, Ashley.
